  Advanced Operations and Warfighting Course  
     
 

The purpose of the Advanced Operations and Warfighting Course (AOWC) is to develop operational  field-grade officers with a warfighting focus for battalion and brigade command who are capable of conducting full spectrum operations in joint, multinational, and interagency environments.  This develops officers who have the requisite competencies to serve successfully as staff officers in division through echelons-above-corps assignments.  It covers “how our Army fights” and includes the following:
