Bibliographies and Special Lists

These selective bibliographies highlights materials which provide information about military topics. Check back often for the latest featured list.

This month's featured list focuses on two websites that offer After Action Reports

An After Action Report (AAR) is a simple method used by a team to capture the lessons learned from past successes and failures, with the goal of improving future performance. It is an opportunity for a team to reflect on a project, activity, event or task so that they can do better the next time.

The 80th Division Digital Archives Project and 1st - 4th CAG Command Chronologies both provide solid examples of after actions reports that span from WWII through Vietnam.

The special list is intended to be a tool to assist researchers as they study Army Officer Education and Training materials. It is not intended as a comprehensive listing of all materials on the topic.
