The Heart of America archives is an open, processed collection and is the property of the Chapter. The material is archived in three boxes. They are at this writing stored in the U.S. Army Combined Arms Research Library at Fort Leavenworth as a courtesy to the Chapter. Collection Description
The Heart of America Chapter is a regional chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA). The chapter covers the entire state of Kansas as well as the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. The Special Libraries Association is an association of information professionals who are employed by special libraries in a variety of organizations, including corporations, government agencies, educational and research institutions, law firms and hospitals. The SLA promotes special librarians' interests as leaders in the information and knowledge management activities of their organizations. Heart of America was initially formed in 1948.
