Guest Speaker: U.S. Congressman Leonard Boswell 3rd Congressional District of Iowa
Congressman Leonard L. Boswell, Iowa's 3rd Congressional District representative, was guest speaker during the International Flag Ceremony opening day ceremonies for the Command and General Staff Officer Intermediate level Education course Monday, Aug. 10 in the Eisenhower Auditorium of the Lewis and Clark Center. The 10-01 class of 1053 officers includes 67 international officers from 59 countries as well as 9 warrant officers, 15 interagency, 67 Air Force, 23 Marines and 37 Navy officers. Mr. Boswell is a 1968 graduate of the
Command and General Staff College and was an instructor in CGSC's Center for Army Tactics from 1974 to 1976. The ceremony included the posting of a national flag from each country represented at the college. ILE is designed to develop war-fighting and leadership skills necessary for military officers to be proficient in full spectrum operations.
